My firewire outputs on my video cameras have died?
I used to be able to transfer video via firewire onto my computer with my sony video camera : DCR-TRV530.
I think it is the result of hot plugging, or plugging in a firewire device to a computer while the device is on. I didn't know about this until a year later, and the computer does not aknowledge the presence of the camera through the firewire port at all. I've replaced the cable, manually resetted the camera. My question is, does anyone know a place besides SONY that fixes these cameras?
dont think so. firewire is supposed to run hotplug mode. if you really have problems that this link's simple advice dont work, i guess you have to send it back to sony for repair. or maybe it's time to buy another.
